Sobel, Joseph

Joseph Sobel is a 22 year-old student in Conceptual Photography and Illustration at Northern Michigan University. His current series of photographs are of individuals he has found in public places. His objective is to portray the mentally ill, the disabled, and the aged like everyone else in a distorted society. Though these people are a part of the social order, the public’s judgments push them away, forcing the individuals to dwell within their person.
