Korenfeld, Marina

Marina Korenfeld is a native of Odessa, Ukraine, and received a Bachelor’s Degree from SVA in New York in 1996. She joined the Art Students League in 2000 and received a Merit Scholarship in 2006. She has exhibited her work in the US and abroad. “Mythology teaches us who we are,” she says. “The enigma of ourselves is the most interesting topic for me. I combine world mythological stories with personal experiences and literary creations.” Marina resides in Staten Island, NY, with her husband and two sons, and teaches art to four to sixteen year old children in the Aesthetic Center “Idea” in Brooklyn, NY.
