Heyne, Jeffrey P.
Thursday, April 23rd, 2009Jeffrey P. Heyne’s current photographic series are manipulations of Eadweard Muybridge’s stop motion human and animal locomotion studies from the 1880s. With a computer, he reapplies the sense of motion to the artist’s original freeze framed images. Heyne is intrigued with the idea of reactivating this motion and letting time re flow. His work is found in the collections of Fidelity, Compaq, and the Boston Public Library; featured in the movie 21. Heyne was honored with a Barbara Singer Artist Award in 2003.
