Bowers, J.

J. Bowers lives in Columbia, MO, where she is pursuing a Ph.D. in fiction writing, 19th century literature, and film at the University of Missouri. Her work has appeared in Fringe, 3:AM, DOGZPLOT, Zone 3, and other journals. “Shooting a Mule” is part of a series exploring the relationship between death, equines, and photography/film. In her free time, she takes trail rides on her horse, Billy, and thinks about movies.
